Welcome to Words for My Warriors
Welcome to Words for My Warriors.
Today marks 25 years since September 11, 2001.
For 25 years, we have said: Never forget.
Here at Loving My Words, we spent a lot of time thinking about how we could say thank you in a way that meant something.
We create stories. We help preserve words. So we built Words for My Warriors for veterans, service members, and first responders who have spent part of their lives answering the call for others.
There are stories that have never been told.
Some are about service. Some are about family. Some are funny, some are difficult, and some may have been carried quietly for years.
This is a place to tell them in your own way, in your own time.
Talk to Rye out loud, where your browser can listen: press the microphone, speak, and hear what it heard before anything is sent — the microphone turns itself off after. Or type, or let your device’s own dictation type for you. Rye’s words are read aloud to you. Talking out loud is new, and not yet tested on every phone and computer; adding photographs is coming. Bring your memories, the people, and the places. You can simply visit with your companion, or you can choose what you want preserved for your book.
You remain in control.
You do not need to buy anything, download anything, or sign up with anyone else. Words for My Warriors runs on Loving My Words’ own server.
Your seat is carried by people and organizations who believe in this work. Never by you.
We tested this room again and again, so that it keeps your story at the standard your story deserves.
Our payment is not from you.
Our reward is being able to bring Words for My Warriors to you and help you preserve the story you want to leave behind.
We listen, organize, and help shape what you give us into the story you want to leave behind.
Words for My Warriors is free from Loving My Words.
We are not asking anything from you.
This is simply our way of saying: Thank you for your service. Thank you for answering the call. And thank you for the stories you have already lived.
You lived the story.
It would be our honor to help you preserve it.
